Dr. Sy Silverberg MD graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1967. Following six years of Family Practice he continued his studies with Masters and Johnson, Albert Ellis and other pioneers in the formative days of sex therapy. Since then his practice has been restricted to the treatment of men and women suffering with the problems of sexual dysfunction. Dr. Silverberg has retired and lives with his wife Catarina in Victoria, British Columbia.
Prior to his retirement he was certified as a Sex Therapist by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Washington DC and by the Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling of Ontario (BESTCO) in Canada.
Dr. Silverberg is a retired Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
He was the Director of the Education and Growth Opportunities Program at York University, Toronto.
